On Tuesday, 12/7, two men had just left Tybee Island Municipal Court when they decided to steal a pair of bicycles from a residence on Fort Avenue. Our team caught up to the dynamic duo as they pedaled towards the Lazaretto Creek Bridge. Both subjects were subsequently placed under arrest for Theft by Taking and the bicycles were successfully returned to their rightful owners.

On Wednesday, 12/8, our officers responded to the area of the beach at Polk Street in reference to a report of a naked man in the area. While on the way, one of our officers spotted a man walking down the street and noted that he closely matched the description of the suspect, as he was completely nude. He was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with Public Indecency.

On Saturday, 12/11, officers responded to the area of the city’s South Annex in reference to a man throwing rocks and various debris at the windows of the building. After making contact with the man, officers and emergency personnel noted that he was acting in an erratic manner and believed that he was possibly under then influence of an unknown substance. During the course of his subsequent arrest, the man was able to kick an officer in the face. He was then charged with Disorderly Conduct, Interference with Government Property, Felony Obstruction and Simple Battery on a Law Enforcement Officer.
