On Thursday, November 17th, one of our officers was on patrol in the area of Highway 80 when he spotted a vehicle with a brake light out. After stopping the car, the officer learned that the driver’s license was suspended. She was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with Defective Equipment and Driving While License Suspended.

On Friday, November 19th, officers responded to the area of Highway 80 in reference to a rollover accident. Upon their arrival on scene, officers found a car lying on its side in the middle of the highway. While speaking with our officers, witnesses stated that the vehicle had been traveling westbound on Highway 80 when it sideswiped two parked cars before striking the curb and rolling over twice. During the course of the investigation, officers found evidence to suggest that the driver had been operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. She was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with Failure to Maintain Lane, Failure to Exercise Due Care and DUI.
