Police on Tybee Island Rescue 3 baby herons after nests destroyed by storm

TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WTGS) – Police on Tybee Island rescued three baby herons on Thursday after two nests were destroyed Wednesday night during Tropical Storm Elsa. Among the debris, police said they were able to find two survivors in the first nest and one in the second. The three birds, who have been named Sven, Olaf and Kristof, are safe at the Tybee Island Police Department.
Police said they are coordinating with partner organizations to make sure the birds get the care they need
